Jade Orchid offers a delightful cross-over of Shanghainese and Cantonese Modern Cuisine, while adding a new and vibrant Chef to the team, in line with keeping its tradition of crafting, and innovative cooking techniques to showcase its unique style, like a blend made in heaven.
The Restaurant environment falls into the old Shanghai design elements, an Eastern quaint façade, with the hotel’s European design side by side, to create a sensation to our guests very much like time travelling. Mr. Eiddy Vu, the newly appointed Executive Chef- a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional was born in Macau and with ancestral roots in Shunde. He developed a strong interest in cooking from a young age due to the influence of his family. Determined to pursue a career in the culinary arts, he went to Hong Kong to study and subsequently worked as a head chef in several renowned hotels.

Throughout his career, Mr. Vu was invited to serve as an Executive Chef in five-star hotels in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, Xi’an, and Xiamen, showcasing his exceptional talent and leadership abilities. Under his leadership, his restaurants received the prestigious Michelin Recommended Restaurant Plate Award. In addition, he earned the title of “Master Chef of Eastern Region” in the 2017 Marriott Group Culinary Competition, further highlighting his outstanding position and achievements in the culinary industry.
